Join us for the 13th Annual Art Squared
Saturday September 19th, from 11AM – 5PM
This free, all ages event highlights all the quirkiness you’d expect in Indy’s Historic Fountain Square art and music district including an Art Fair, Masterpiece in a Day, Busking-Style Musicians, and a creator demonstration space.
The Art Fair is a festival marketplace for over 100 local artists to showcase their creative talents and display items for purchase. Spread over 1000 ft. across Virginia Ave and Woodlawn Ave. Vendor space is strictly reserved for local, Indiana-based artists and creators
Masterpiece in a Day is a free to participate day-long art competition where local artists of all levels and forms create works of art to be judged for a cash prize. The top 10 pieces are then displayed in The Murphy Arts Center for October’s First Friday on October 2nd. It’s free to participate and open to all over the age of 14 – just bring your favorite supplies and start creating around Fountain Square!
Busking Musicians will be performing at a number of points throughout Art Squared. Some of the most talented performers of various genres from Indianapolis will bring authentic and stripped down performances

Our urban district would love to have you visit and we hope you’ll visit via foot, bike, or bus. This event is FREE to attend, and welcoming for all-ages! Below you’ll see our map for the event (pending), including street closures (to be updated soon)
- This year we’ll be taking advantage of the construction happening in the main intersection of Fountain Square, and are bringing back the pre-Red Line Art Squared Layout!
- We heard feedback from previous years, and have narrowed down the event hours. This year will be from 11am-5pm, with Masterpiece in a Day keeping their same hours of registration from 9am-11am, and completed entries due by 3pm
